Ways to Access Lactation Care with Bonnie Knows Breast

SELF PAY

  • HSA/FSA, cash and credit card are accepted

  • 3-appointment packages available for lactation consultations for a 10% discount.

  • Most families need 2-4 visits especially in the first month

  • We welcome Anthem/BCBS families to book as self-pay during this transition

  • Lactation superbill provided to submit for potential reimbursement to your insurance.

  • Medicaid and Military families are offered a discounted rate-just ask!

  • Twins/Multiples incurs an additional $50 fee per baby per visit.

CIGNA

  • If you have Cigna Insurance, you can check eligibility coverage through Wildflower Health linked above.

AETNA

  • We are an in-network provider for lactation visits with Aetna insurance

  • Your IBCLC visits should be covered by your plan. Be sure to check your coverage and that it is active.

  • Unfortunately, we cannot accept Aetna Medicaid or Meritain Health.

  • If you have the insurance with the companies below, check with TLN to get pre-approved for a visit with us!

  • United Healthcare (UHC) PPO

  • Veterans Affairs Community Care Network (Optum East regions 1-3)

  • First Health

  • First Choice Health

  • Imagine Health

  • Meritain (select states)

  • Sutter Health

  • Velocity

  • Some specific HMO plans

  • Most plans that utilize MultiPlan or PNOA logo on your insurance card are accepted.

A convenience fee is charged for all home visits. From zip code 40205: 0-15 miles- $25 fee, 15-25 miles $40 fee, anything over 25 miles will require a custom quote for you to consider before scheduling.

Please note: Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 48-hours notice will be assessed the full visit fee regardless of insurance coverage. No show visits are also charged the full rate.

Weather Policy: You and your babe are important to us. In the event of bad weather or the roads are unsafe, Bonnie Knows Breast reserves the right to reschedule your appointment/class/training/workshop.
