Here’s what folks have to say about working with Bonnie Knows Breast®:
Bonnie is absolutely incredible. I first saw her about two weeks postpartum after meeting with another lactation consultant at the hospital I delivered which was unsuccessful. Following our first meeting I felt not only physically but mentally better. Without her I would have never had been able to continue breastfeeding. She offers not only knowledge and expertise in the field but also unmatched genuine kindness and compassion. I am so so thankful for her and will forever recommend her!!

The best word I can use to describe Afterglow for me has been safe. I've never once felt like my tears, triumphs, worries, and joys weren't shared by every other parent in the group. I've always felt heard and supported, which is priceless in the early months with littles, even if it's your 2nd time around!

I attended Bonnie's Breastfeeding Basics classes and it was wonderful! She is so knowledgeable and I can tell she's completely dedicated to helping parents on their journeys. I feel like I left the class with tons of useful, practical, and evidence based information, which is reassuring as a new mom. It is also super reassuring knowing that Bonnie offers tons of great services for parents. Thank you Bonnie!

There are not enough words to describe how amazing Bonnie is. I had a lot of anxiety about breastfeeding my second baby as I had such a hard time with the first. She was there for me through it all…always available to answer my concerns outside of appointments and office hours. She saved my sanity through 3 cases of mastitis and a tongue tied baby, and helped me to continue breastfeeding despite having to supplement with a bottle due to a possible metabolic disorder and having to go back to work and be gone for 12 hour days. My baby is almost 1 year old now. We made it! And I wouldn’t have been able to do it without Bonnie. She is absolutely the best!

Afterglow is responsible for the birth and nourishment of all my nearly decade-long now mama friendships. We rejoice, rant and work out each new stage of this wild journey, first as mothers, but even more so now as the successful humans we aim to be and are in addition to being parents. I just love us!

At 3 weeks postpartum, my baby was having a hard time gaining weight. I had planned on only breastfeeding, but was not aware of the possibility of low-supply. I went from expressing 1.5 oz combined to 7 oz combined now 3 months postpartum. I am so grateful to Bonnie for giving such good advice and care while honoring every drop of milk produced in those early days. Baby is still on the weight gaining curve, and thanks to Bonnie’s expertise and support, receiving 90% of his diet from breastmilk. See her as early as you can in your breastfeeding journey!

My doulas recommended Bonnie's breastfeeding class, and I am so glad they did. I learned SO MUCH. As a first time mom-to-be, I feel like breastfeeding can be very overwhelming, you often hear about what goes wrong, but not as much about what can go right and how to even do it. I learned so much in her class. She taught in a simple, non-judgmental way that made it easy to understand. She provided plenty of evidence-based education, and lots of recommendations for resources. I wish everyone could take this class.

Bonnie was ESSENTIAL in my breastfeeding journey with my first son! Wish I would've known about her prenatally to have learned about what to expect, but she provided all the answers and support I needed once I found her a week postpartum. Now that I'm about to have my second son, I wouldn't choose anyone else to help guide me through this journey all over again 🩵💙 Bonnie is a life saver!!

I can't say enough great things about Bonnie! I came to her at my most vulnerable and she lifted me up with her kindness and expertise. She helped me understand what was going on with my body and was helpful in recommending the best pump and flange size for me. Do yourself a favor and go see Bonnie!

She really listened to me and my concerns, and reassured me that my instincts as a mom were right. She was extremely thorough and came up with a great care plan for my little one. I felt very comfortable with her. I will absolutely be back and would recommend her to anyone!

Bonnie was a huge help to me in my chestfeeding journey! In the first couple of weeks with my baby, we were dealing with jaundice and weight gain for a 37 weeker. Bonnie helped me figure out a triple feeding schedule and routine (feeding, supplementing with a syringe/bottle, pumping) in a way that felt doable and was, thankfully, temporary. We did both a home and office visit with her and she was warm, knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. I highly recommend Bonnie for feeding and nursing support!

I had an appointment with Bonnie within a week of delivering my daughter. I had been having a fairly straightforward nursing experience, so I don’t think I would have scheduled an appointment without the encouragement of my birth center. I can confidently say that this appointment was an invaluable support to my family at the start of this breastfeeding journey, and I would highly recommend Bonnie as a lactation consultant for every new mom (not just moms with obvious complications!). Bonnie’s intake form was thorough, which made me feel like she cared holistically about my baby and I. She is incredibly knowledgable and I felt comfortable asking all of my questions. I left the appointment feeling so much more confident that I could breastfeed my baby. Bonnie sent me a care plan that summarized our time together and outlined various resources to learn more. I’ve revisited that document many times in the week since my appointment, and it has been so helpful. You will not regret investing in your breastfeeding experience in this way!
