    During your appointment, we typically:

    • Review your pregnancy, birth, and feeding history
    • Assess baby’s weight and growth patterns
    • Observe a full feeding (breast, bottle, or pumping session)
    • Evaluate latch, milk transfer, positioning, and comfort
    • Perform an oral assessment of baby

    Do pre- and post-feeding weights to assess milk transfer when clinically appropriate
    • Assess pumping setup and flange fit (if relevant)
    • Answer your feeding and newborn care questions

    You will leave with:

  • Once you book a visit, your confirmation email will cover this as well.

    Please bring:

    • Your baby (of course! unless you are still pregnant or it isn’t applicable)
    • Your breast pump and all pump parts (if you’re pumping)
    • Bottles you are currently using (if we are going to work on feeding from a bottle)
    • Nipple shields (if applicable)
    • Any supplements or feeding tools you’re using
    • A list of questions or concerns

    If you have recent weight checks or pediatrician notes, those can be helpful as well.

    We want to assess your real-life setup — so bringing your actual equipment helps us troubleshoot effectively. We have all the feeding pillows, so no need to bring those.

  • The Pump Bar is our retail space inside Bonnie Knows Breast®, offering:
