During your appointment, we typically:
• Review your pregnancy, birth, and feeding history
• Assess baby’s weight and growth patterns
• Observe a full feeding (breast, bottle, or pumping session)
• Evaluate latch, milk transfer, positioning, and comfort
• Perform an oral assessment of babyDo pre- and post-feeding weights to assess milk transfer when clinically appropriate
• Assess pumping setup and flange fit (if relevant)
• Answer your feeding and newborn care questionsYou will leave with:

Once you book a visit, your confirmation email will cover this as well.
Please bring:
• Your baby (of course! unless you are still pregnant or it isn’t applicable)
• Your breast pump and all pump parts (if you’re pumping)
• Bottles you are currently using (if we are going to work on feeding from a bottle)
• Nipple shields (if applicable)
• Any supplements or feeding tools you’re using
• A list of questions or concernsIf you have recent weight checks or pediatrician notes, those can be helpful as well.
We want to assess your real-life setup — so bringing your actual equipment helps us troubleshoot effectively. We have all the feeding pillows, so no need to bring those.

Bonnie Knows Breast® works with several insurance providers and can help you determine coverage before your visit.
If we are out-of-network, we can provide a superbill for potential reimbursement.

Afterglow Foundations: You can save your spot during pregnancy or in the early postpartum weeks. Many families register before baby arrives to secure a spot as they are limited based on space.
Afterglow New Parent group: Come any Wednesday for this community group. No pre-registrations required, just show up, no such thing as late, come as you are.

We focus on personalized guidance — not just selling products. Find all our products online and have them shipped or pick up locally at the office of Bonnie Knows Breast.

Appointments are required for pump consultations and flange fittings to ensure personalized support. A whole hour is dedicated to finding the right fit for you and your journey.

We require 48-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations and now-shows will incur a fee.
