(she/her), a Registered Dietitian (RD), International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and a DONA trained birth doula with over twenty years of experience in lactation practice.

Accepting new clients for lactation consultant visits in my office or in your home in the Louisville, KY, and southern Indiana area as well as telehealth available worldwide!

Bonnie Knows Breast Accepts Four Different Payment Types

The Lactation Network (TLN)

  • Eligibility for insurance-covered care through The Lactation Network:

  • United Healthcare (UHC) PPO

  • Veterans Affairs Community Care Network (Optum East regions 1-3)

  • First Health

  • First Choice Health

  • Imagine Health

  • Meritain (select states)

  • Sutter Health

  • Velocity

  • Some specific HMO plans

  • Most plans that utilize MultiPlan or PNOA logo on your insurance card are accepted.

WILDFLOWER

  • If you have Cigna Insurance, you can check eligibility coverage through Wildflower Health linked above

AETNA

  • If you have Aetna insurance, your IBCLC visits should be covered by your plan. Be sure to check your coverage and that it is active (some patient responsibility may be assigned and owed for the visits based on your coverage)

  • Unfortunately, we cannot accept Aetna Medicaid and Meritain Health

  • We are an IN-NETWORK provider with Aetna Health

SELF PAY

  • Cash pay is also accepted if insurance is not covered

  • HSA/FSA also accepted

  • Cash/Credit card accepted

  • We are currently accepting self pay for those with Anthem/BCBS plans and are working on options for this disruption in care

  • 3-appointment packages available for lactation consultations for a 20% discount.

  • Lactation superbill provided to submit potential reimbursement to your insurance

  • Sliding scale discounted rate is available for Medicaid participants and military families

  • Twins/Multiples incurs an additional $30 fee per baby per visit
