Virtual Lactation Visits Now Covered for Anthem/BCBS Families

We're thrilled to share some exciting news with our Bonnie Knows Breast community!

Bonnie Knows Breast has been approved to participate in a pilot program with Wildflower Health, making it possible for eligible Anthem / Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) members to receive covered virtual lactation and feeding support from the comfort of home.

Whether you're pregnant, navigating the newborn stage, returning to work, or simply looking for guidance on your feeding journey, virtual support can provide the reassurance and personalized care you need.

With this new coverage option, eligible families may receive two prenatal visit and six postpartum virtual visits.

How to Get Started

The enrollment process is simple and only takes a few minutes.

Is a Virtual Visit Right for You?

Virtual appointments are a wonderful option for many feeding concerns and routine support needs. They offer convenience, flexibility, and access to expert care without leaving home.

That said, some situations are best addressed with hands-on, in-person support. Every family and every feeding journey is unique.

If you're unsure whether a virtual or in-person visit would be most beneficial, we're here to help. Reach out to our team, and we'll guide you toward the option that best fits your needs.

When should I schedule a visit?

If you are pregnant, let’s go ahead and get you verified for coverage and book your first prenatal visit.

If you have already delivered, we love to see people in the first week postpartum! Many times this may need to be an in-person visit then we can move to some telehealth as you need less hands-on help.

We're Here for You

Having access to professional lactation support virtually can make all the difference during important moments.

If it's been a while since we've connected, now is the perfect time to schedule:

  • A breastfeeding check-in

  • A milestone feeding visit

  • Pumping support

  • Bottle-feeding guidance

  • Weaning discussions

  • Returning-to-work planning

  • General infant feeding questions and concerns

At Bonnie Knows Breast, our mission has always been to provide compassionate, evidence-based support for families wherever they are in their feeding journey. We're excited that this new partnership with Wildflower Health allows us to expand access to care for Anthem/BCBS members and make support more affordable for more families.

We look forward to connecting with you soon. If you have any questions about eligibility, enrollment, or scheduling, don't hesitate to send us a message. We're happy to help every step of the way.
